内容紹介：

　霧島火山新燃岳2008年8月22日噴火によって噴出した降下火山灰の地点ごとの堆積量のデータ集。85地点でのテフラの測定結果が含まれている。
火口から約2 kmよりも遠方の分布調査は2008年9月2－3日、火口近傍は2009年2月4－6日に行った。各地点のデータは、地点の緯度・経度、及び単位体積当たりの重量（kg/m2）、各地点に関するメモからなる。火口近傍では層厚を測定したため、複数地点において測定した堆積密度（kg/m3）から単位体積当たりの重量に変換した。

Contents:

Distribution data of the tephra fall deposit of the August 22, 2008 eruption of Shinmoedake, Kirishima Volcano, Japan. This database contains the weight of the tephra per unit area of 85 sampling point.
Data within an area ca 2 km from the crater were collected in February 2009 and data in the area more than 2 km from the summit were collected in September 2008. The data includes the locality ID, latitude and longitude of the sampling point, thickness of the tephra layer, weight of the tephra per unit area (converted with the density), and the description of the sampling point (in Japanese).
