内容紹介：

産総研では、地震の発生や被害の予測のために、地形・地質学に基づく過去の地震に関する研究と、地球物理学に基づく現在の地殻活動の研究を進めてきまし た。2009年度からは、これらの研究を融合して強化するため、新しく活断層・地震研究センターを発足させました。本シンポジウムでは、最近起こった内陸 地震から浮かび上がる研究課題や、新センターが目指す地震の予測に関する研究を紹介します。
