5–7, 12–14, 19–21 July, 2022, Online
Summary Report
We held the GSJ Webinar 2022 on Practical Geological Survey Techniques - Application to Geological Disaster Mitigation from July 5 to July 21, 2022. The webinar was delivered via online lectures and practical training sessions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This webinar consisted of three courses: Lectures of Geological Disaster Mitigation, Practical Training on GIS and Cloud-Based GIS, and Practical Training on Remote Sensing. The trainees were able to attend one of these courses. Twenty-seven trainees officially nominated from seven of the CCOP member countries—Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, and Thailand—participated in the webinar.
We were glad to receive favorable remarks from the trainees, who stated that they obtained new insights that were useful for their work. After further improving the training content based on feedback received from the trainees and lecturers, we will announce the details of the next course in early 2023.
Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to those who participated in and supported the training course, including the trainees, lecturers, staff, and contributors to GeoBank.
