Cover and Back cover
Cover:
High resolution 3D bird view of the Kenbutsu coast in the southern part of the Boso Peninsula.
It is based on 0.05 m mesh DTM (Digital Terrain Model) constructed by integrated topographic data measured by ground based 3D laser scanning and sounding. See a report by Shishikura et al. (pages 1-38).
Back cover:
Paleoseismological excavation across the the Hachiman faults, Gifu Prefecture
A small trench was excavated between trees to investigate the paleoseismicity of the fault. Two faulting events are identified in the Holocene humic sediments on the trench walls. See a report by Awata et al. (pages 39-56, Photo: Yasuo Awata)
