Trenching study of the Sakaitoge fault
The Sakaitoge fault is a northwest-southeast trending left-lateral strike-slip fault in western Nagano Prefecture, central Japan. The photograph is a view from the southeast of the Yoriaido trenching site, in Nagawa Village. The fault runs from the central bottom of the photograph, through the trenches, to the V-shaped saddle in upper middle part of the photograph. See a report by Yoshioka et al. in pages 143-153 for details.
